I calculate you should be at Schipol at the moment, and preparing yourselves for the long haul. We'll be remembering you on the flight. If you all do what Mother K. tells you, you won't go far wrong!
I thought this was meant to be a serious site. What a relief! You should be well acclimatised by now. Who snored on the plane? What was your first meal after landing? Did you big guys have to be folded up and carried with the luggage? (What's the point in being tall Nathan!!) Bet we've got more rain than you ! (A77 blocked round Kilmarnock last night due to flash flooding.) Are you still there ? Speak to us.
David Adair printed your last updates including photos and it was on the Centre Noticeboard for evryone to see. Looking forward to hearing further news in the next few days.
Keep up the great work. Tell Ron to give Mother K her hot water bag back. We have arranged a package to be sent to him containing an Arran sweater, long johns and bed socks. -I thougt Irishmen were tough!!! Nathan - your granpa has offered his "old spice" after shave to help your problem - I told you 2 pairs of socks in your luggage wasn't enough.
We are 12 members of Riverside Church, Ayr, Scotland heading out to visit our friends at Chisomo Children's Club, Malawi. Chisomo work with street children. Wherever possible Chisomo help reunite children with their families. Chisomo supports the education of street children, gives grants and provides training for small business start-ups. Everything they do is aimed at helping the children to take responsibility for themselves and for their families. We are going to be painting one of their centres, visiting schools, shadowing Chisomo's social workers and working (playing!) with the children.
This has all been made possible by TEARFUND, a UK based Christian relief and development agency. Find out more about them and their Transform teams at www.tearfund.org
